We have had an enormous flow of traffic and correspondence on and through theCorbettFamily.org over the past couple of months! We realize that it's largely due to the circumstances, and it's encouraging. We love hearing from all of you! Thank you for the support.
There's something we just have to share- recently a note that Hannah had written almost a year ago, in December of 2007, was found stashed in a box in a closet. If you were closely involved in the events of mid-2008, you'll probably experience one of those quick adrenaline rushes as you ponder the next few lines...
December 27, 2007
Rachel, Rebekah, and I are all in the family room. It's December 27. Rebekah and Rachel are putting the tree and ornaments away, and I'm writing a letter...
As Rebekah was putting an ornament in it's box, she for some reason turned to me and said, "Just think how much may have changed by the time we get these out next year- think of us now and then think of how things will have changed by then." This is kind of out of character for Rebekah- I would expect Rachel or me to say something like that, but not Rebekah. She usually doesn't think things like that, so I'm going to pay special attention to the changes our family goes through this year- I think they're going to be dramatic!
This is kind of sad, kind of exciting. I look forward to the future, but I'm really enjoying today... I REALLY REALLY LIKE JUST BEING A FAMILY!
