Over the last couple of years the Lord has allowed me to give biblical counsel to a friend. Even though I know what the Bible teaches about various issues, I sometimes still make mistakes in those areas. For instance, although I intend to always be submissive to my husband and reverence him, at times in the fast pace of life, I briefly forget my role. The Holy Spirit is faithful to remind me rather quickly; but sometimes my attitude or my mouth got involved impulsively before His prompting. Similarly, my friend who has learned much in the past year or two assures me that although God’s Word has brought wonderful changes into her life as she has applied God’s teachings, she is still working at making those applications become her first response to situations. The exciting thing is that God has already given my friend the opportunity to pass on to a friend of hers what God has taught her.
It is meaningful to know that even though we are not perfect, God allows us to pass on to others the things He has patiently taught us. We can share what God’s Word says about what that person is experiencing, and we can tell how applying God’s Word to our situation has transformed our own life. Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Being a witness is simply telling what you know to be true.
Are you being filled with the Holy Spirit? Have you recieved power to be a witness to what you know to be truth? Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Learn, apply, share.

That’s such a wonderful truth. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be used by God, even though we will never be worthy of the privilege.
Thank you for this one!
I think it is really scary but yet humbling to be used of God. Recently I have thought Lord are you sure you want to use me for this? Then my next thought is why me……but God assures me this is what He wants me to do and I do it….and it is such a blessing……but just like the previous comment I never feel worthy of the priviledge to do anything for God.
I am so thankful that you are so willing to share so that it can help others apply God’s principles to their lives. It is such a blessing. Thank you for all of your posts.
