God says I love you in the sweetest ways.

A friend in Selmer Tennessee got me started making Christmas stockings from fabric swatches discarded by furniture stores.  She invited the girls and me over for a crafting day, and we had a wonderful time.  She gave me some mink and muskrat fur to make a cuff for each stocking. The stockings were beautiful, and when Wes and Elisabeth married I gave the stockings to them.  The name of the friend is Sharon Everitt.  She is a very generous lady.  She also gave me enough fur to make two more stockings.  A month or two ago I decided I would like to make similar stockings to give each of my children and their spouses when they marry if they like them.

I’ve been looking for fur on vintage coats at thrift stores, flea markets, etc.  They can be pricey, so I pass them by.  I mentioned to the LORD that if He didn’t mind and didn’t think it was just a ridiculous, extravagant idea, would He provide enough fur for me to accomplish my goal.

A couple of weeks ago, I was amazed to find a fur collar by itself for about three dollars!  I was so thankful to God for His kindness!  Then just the other day I was in another thrift store (you must think I spend all my time in thrift stores.  :)   I don’t.)  and overheard the manager discussing some fur that had been donated.  He offered to show it to me.  I was sure it would be way too much money, but it wouldn’t hurt to see it.  There were two pieces.  One was a fur mink collar.  The other was four whole minks linked together into some kind of shawl.  I asked how much he was going to sell them for and he said I could have them both for about ten dollars!  Well, I still had some money I had been given for my birthday, and so I bought them!

Thank you God for the unique ways you say I love you.  I love You too.  Lisa
