Jesus said, "Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Acts 3: 19 tells us, "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" In Acts 20: 21 we find Paul," Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek; for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." What you should know: Jesus is God. One God is revealed in 3 persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the only person born of a virgin. He was raised by his stepfather, Joseph. He was the only one who could pay our sin debt because he was the only one who did not inherit the sin nature from a human father. The Holy Spirit was his father. He came to earth for the purpose of sacrificing himself in our place. When he died on the cross it was by choice. He could have prevented it in many ways. He did as he said he would do. He remained in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights. He rose on the first day of the week, conquering death. He died for you. If you believe this, repent of your sin and call on the Name of the Lord to save you. He is able to deliver you.
