Our God is so awesome! Every year during April and October we know we will have financial challenges due to taxes and insurance. So, I try not to ask my husband for anything, but take all requests straight to our Heavenly Father. So far this month God has done so many neat things for us that I fear forgetting some of them in this testimony to God’s greatness. The Bible instructs us to tell what great things God hath done for you. Well, my first answer to prayer was not financial in nature. It was a Sunday morning and as I climbed into the van to head for church my eyes beheld a little magazine that had in the past been fairly good family reading. A few years ago we began to notice some changes in the magazine and decided that it was no longer going to be laying around our house for indiscriminate reading. So, my husband would go through it, read what he felt was acceptable, and then throw it away. We had received that magazine for so many years from several different people giving us gift subscriptions to it, that I am not sure just how many years it has been. I can say it has been a loooong time. When I saw the magazine that morning I prayed silently, “Lord, will you please take care of this (name of the magazine) thing.” That afternoon as we were cleaning up from lunch we received a telephone call. Someone was asking my husband if he still wanted that periodical for a gift subscription this year. I heard him say that the Lord had been dealing with him about cutting out some unnecessary time users in his life, and he thought this would be a good place to start. Thank you Lord for such timely answer to my prayer! I love You!
Another thing that happened this month involved ministry opportunities. My husband felt I should take some ladies to a nearby ladies’ jubilee. The cost for our family would be $60. Someone asked how many of us would be going and said they would be covering the cost for us. They also gave us $40 spending money. Praise the Lord!
I took the girls to a thrift store recently. They were looking for some clothing needs. I knit dish cloths for the ladies at church for their birthdays. I needed to make a few but was out of the cotton yarn. So, of course I asked the Lord about it. Walking by the craft section of the thrift store I found that someone had donated $12 worth of the yarn I needed. The yarn was still in it’s packages and in additional plastic. It cost me $2. Thank you, Lord! Thanks to our Heavenly Father, the dish cloths have been made and given.
One day last week I felt like my thyroid was swollen. So, I figured I may be needing some iodine. I asked the Lord to provide some fish for me. That night someone sent a box of lunch type foods including, you guessed it, nine cans of tuna, several packages of tuna, and a can of salmon. I don’t know if I knew what I needed or not, but I know God quickly answered my prayer! He is AWESOME!
God sent a huge garbage can full of apples this month. We made apple sauce and froze some apples. Then he sent some more for eating. He sent some fresh broccoli and baby carrots. He sent a few cherry tomatoes and some green pepper strips. Isn’t He amazing! He knows just when we need extra help and He is so faithful.
Last week someone came up to me and gave me $50 and said they felt they hadn’t done anything for us in a while and maybe we would be needing this. With that money I found a new suit for Timothy for $5. I also was able to buy some groceries. Thank you Lord!
Tonight someone walked up to me and gave me a thank you card with $20 in it! God is SO good!

Wow! It happens so much but we just take it for granted.
Thank you Steven and Timothy for reading and responding. It’s nice to know someone reads what I post. We do serve a Great Big Wonderful God!
Wow! It is really neat to see someone writing about what is going on in our life and how God is blessing us.
