For our 25th anniversary in 2007 our children surprised their Daddy and me with new laptops. My husband had wanted one for some time, but I hadn’t even dreamed of owning one myself. Quickly the computer and I bonded.
This blog Steven created was a major factor in that. Fast forward to the spring of 2008. I left my computer sitting open and alone in an office hallway and a little person knocked it over, severing the connection to the mother board. The cost to repair would be more than the computer itself. At that point I asked the Lord if He wanted me to have a computer and asked Him to provide one for me if He did. One year later He sent a very nice laptop from someone who knew nothing of my prayer. Over and over God has been so good to me! I am enjoying using this laptop, knowing God loves me and is actively involved in my life.
Last month our home educating family ran out of looseleaf notebook paper. I remembered that Grandpa Corbett had given us a box of spiral bound notebooks, so we have been using them. But casually I mentioned to the Lord that we had run out of notebook paper. We are still using the spirals but earlier this week someone moved and sat a lot of stuff by the curb for special pickup. Something caught my son’s eye and he stopped to see what it was. There, left for garbage pickup, was two grocery bags full of unopened packs of notebook paper! God is so amazing in His care for the details–the small stuff. Big needs or small, God hears the prayers of those made righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ, and He hears the repentant prayers of all– and He answers!

Beautiful. He is wonderful, isn’t He?!
Awe, that is great!!!!!! It is awesome when God answers prayers….and then those only her knows. It is a great feeling. I am thanking God that he blessed me with a computer as well. My sister had an extra one that she just had sitting and asked me if I would like to have it. God is good all of the time.
I remember an old song some friends in TN used to sing. It went something like this, “God is great, God is good, God is merciful.” How true that is!
