Rebekah had gone down to feed the chickens, and she was wearing her favorite ring. It had a little pearl in the middle – not a real pearl, but that didn’t matter to Rebekah. One of the chickens really liked this ring, and always pecked at it. Rebekah didn’t mind, she actually kind of enjoyed teasing the chicken by letting it try to get the pearl out- but this time, the chicken really did get it- and ate it!
Rebekah quickly determined that she would get her pearl back! She spent the rest of her day following that chicken around, digging through everything it left behind (Selah). But poor, disgusted Rebekah never did find her pearl.
