Nanny Is 97 and Still Living In Her Own Home!

Thanks to the sacrifice of Steven and Anna and their children, Eva and Hudson, Nanny Edna is 97 and living at home.  Steven and Anna moved their belongings from Tennessee to Maryland and moved in with Nanny on the farm.  Nanny was very ill at the time.  She had fallen and broken her hip, was recuperating from that when she developed a horrible infection that had all kinds of wild side issues!  We weren’t sure she would ever live to see 97.  But here we are, and she is doing very well, walking with a walker, no infection–just some lingering memory issues.

After moving back to the States in the spring, we visited our married daughters and their families for about a month.  Then we came to the farm and have been assisting Steven and Anna with Nanny’s care while praying, seeking God’s will for our family, and doing what work comes along.

Daniel and Tim did some work in the Clinton, MD area, and with Steve have remodeled and repaired a small church basement, and Nanny’s old bathroom.  The guys are all job hunting now.  Hannah is enjoying her work at Chick Fil A in Brandywine, MD, and is staying with her sister, Elisabeth and her family.

Rachel married David Smith in a private ceremony in East TN in September and we all went to TN a couple of weeks later to celebrate.  No, she wasn’t expecting (it seems a few folk have the idea that all private weddings are because there’s a little one on the way.)  🙂  This was just what they wanted and we thought it was a great idea.  🙂

Daniel, Tim, Steve and I traveled a couple of hours on Sunday for Steve to preach at a little Baptist Church with big problems.  Steve is to preach there a couple more times while they figure out what they are going to do as a congregation.

Lisa has had a few yard sales and has done some eBaying to contribute to the family’s well-being.

We rejoice to receive contact from friends and loved ones.  Thank you to those of you who pray for us and stay in touch.

Lisa, for the Steve Corbett Family
